What is Nuclear equipment qualification information system (NEQIS)?
The Korea Foundation of Nuclear Safety (KoFONS) establishes and runs the Nuclear Equipment Qualification Information System (NEQIS)
which provides information on laws and institutions related to equipment qualification of other countries to advance
the equipment qualification industry and improve global competitiveness.
The NEQIS makes domestic users of the overseas equipment qualification agencies
(licensees, manufacturers, equipment qualification agencies, etc.) identify the institute’s information (manpower, facility, performance, certifications, etc) to utilize agencies with proven EQ capabilities and reliability, thereby improving convenience of users and laying the foundation for efficient information management system for domestic institutes.
In addition, information including domestic certification management system, current state and equipment qualification agencies is provided in English to let foreigners know more about the information and excellence of domestic equipment qualification agencies.
Various information is provided including major laws (link) related to equipment qualification, regulatory information, licensee information, certification information, technical standards information and major equipment qualification agencies for 11 major nuclear power plant operating countries (Korea, US, Canada, Germany, France, Finland, UK, Spain, Belgium, Sweden, Taiwan).
We will continue to make an effort to further develop the NEQIS through continuous communication with users.
